Non-Porous

Seamless Finish

Decoran is designed for straightforward everyday care. Its non-porous surface does not require routine sealing, and most day-to-day cleaning can be handled with a soft cloth and a suitable non-abrasive household cleaner.

The recommendations below provide general guidance. Always follow the current Decoran care guide and contact the team before attempting to repair, sand or refinish the surface yourself.

Routine Cleaning

Wipe the surface with a soft cloth or non-abrasive sponge and a suitable liquid household cleaner. Rinse away cleaner residue and dry the area to help maintain an even finish. Diluted bleach may also be used as a cleaning agent as it is very effective on marks in our integrated white sinks.

Apply vinegar or a suitable non-abrasive limescale remover, allow it to work briefly according to the product instructions, then rinse the surface thoroughly.

Do not use abrasive powders, scouring pads or other products that can dull or damage the surface finish. Contact the Decoran team for advice when a mark does not respond to normal cleaning.

Protecting the Surface

Although Decoran has resistance to everyday heat, extremely hot cookware or appliances should not be placed directly on the surface. Use a trivet or hot pad that allows air to circulate beneath the hot item.

Do not cut or chop directly on Decoran. Sharp utensils can scratch or gouge the surface, even though some superficial damage may later be repairable.

When pouring boiling water into a Decoran sink, run water at the same time to reduce the effect of sudden temperature extremes on the surface.

Avoid dropping heavy or sharp items onto exposed edges, corners or unsupported areas. Report cracks, chips or movement promptly so that the cause and repair options can be assessed.

A mark does not always mean replacement.

Because Decoran is a solid-surface material, selected superficial scratches, wear and finish damage may be improved through professional refinishing. The appropriate repair depends on the location, depth and extent of the damage.
